Le Grand Lieu
("the big place") is a picturesque old country property owned by Peter
and Kathleen, an English couple now living in France and providing
spacious and comfortable holiday cottages. The property boasts a

Chez Puibailler is situated 1.5 miles
outside the small market town of Mirambeau. This is an old farm complex
standing in its own grounds on a slight knoll with glorious views. Each
gite is tastefully furnished and decorated to a very high standard,
retaining its original character with exposed beams. 2 of the 3 gites
have log burners installed, all have tiled floors downstairs and large
wooden stairs leading to the upper bedrooms. Each gite is equipeed with
new fitted kitchens, comprising of a cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer
and a large selection of utensils, satelite television and a cd player.
There is also a utility room complete with washing machines, a dryer,
iron, and ironing board. There is a swimming pool, fully equipped bbq
area, bicycles, boules, skittles with an assortment of other outdoor
games. The gites are in easy driving distance to Cognac, Bordeaux, Saint
as well as Blaye, Bourg, Jonzac and the many beaches at Royan which are

a renovated Charentaise farmhouse set in 14 acres of rolling countryside
in Charente, south west France. The gite is surrounded by woodland
inhabited by many deer, it is a nature lovers paradise and provides the
perfect setting for a relaxed and peaceful holiday. Frank and Christine
Rogers live here, with their friendly cat called Oliver and two dogs;
Freckle and Daisy, who bark when necessary!

kilometres from the picturesque village of Aubeterre-sur-Dronne,
designated as one of the "Plus Beaux Villages de France". The old small
market town is fascinating with it's shady square and many beautiful
views. Visitors will delight in discovering it's history, particularly
the monolithic church.Below Aubeterre, is the River Dronne and a beach.

limited mobility - There is a spacious living/ dining room with a log
burning fireplace and a convertible sofa. The newly fitted galley

There are two excellent golf courses, Les Forges and Le Petit Chene,
each about 10 minutes away. The club house at Le Petit Chene is a
beautiful 18th century chateau with a bar and restaurant. The
club house at Les Forges is modern and offers excellent and reasonably
priced food - At Niort, about 30 minutes away there is a further course.
