Sleeps 2-5 from £193-£296 pw The cottage is set in very rural surroundings with the river Charente 300m down a small track.There is a little stony beach into the river from which you can swim or launch the canoe if you wish. People sometimes fish from the bank there as well. The cottage has just undergone further renovation to bring it up to a high standard. It has a bedroom with a 5' double bed, a spacious living room with a 3' divan/daybed and a double sofa-bed. There is a separate kitchen with full cooking facilities and a washing machine, and a bathroom. Outside you have your own terrace with garden furniture and barbeque. There is a large willow adjacent which offers ample shade if needed and screening from our property. The rest of the large garden is at your disposal.
Sleeps 2-5 from £175- £275 pw The cottage, which is set in the same grounds as La Basse Pommeraie, described above, has a bedroom with a 5' double bed, and a good sized living room with good, comfortable sofabeds which can sleep 3 more There is a separate fitted kitchen with full cooking facilities and washing machine and a bathroom with bath and shower. Outside you have your own south facing terrace with garden furniture. There is a large garden with plenty of trees which offer ample shade if needed.
Sleeps 4-7 from £325- £425 The cottage, as above, set in the same grounds as La Basse Pommeraie, has a bedroom with 5' double bed, a full bathroom with bath and shower, a kitchen with full cooking facilities, microwave and a washing machine, a good sized living room with good, comfortable sofabeds which can sleep 3 and a further bedroom/living room arranged as a studio, sleeping 2 (or 3 if you use a z-bed as well) with a kitchenette and shower room, which can also be rented separately. Outside the french windows you have 2 terraces with garden furniture. 1 facing north and west with full views across the fields to the sunset, the other facing south. There is a large garden with plenty of trees which offer ample shade if needed.
Sleeps 2-3 £150 pw year round The cottage, which is also set in the same grounds as La Basse Pommeraie, is part of L’Etable and comprises a studio with a living room with a good quality, very comfortable sofa bed and a kitchenette with microwave, and an adjoining shower room. Outside the French windows you have a terrace with garden furniture facing north and west with full views across the fields to the sunset. There is a large garden with plenty of trees which offer ample shade if needed and where you can sit facing south if you wish. It is priced at £150.00 pw.year round.
The General Area
It is an ideal spot to sit peacefully watching the wildlife, particularly the birds which can be seen on the march during migration, but not to be missed are the storks which have nested there for 7 years now. There is much fun to be had watching the nestling storks go about their business between march and July/August when they set off for their journey south We look forward to hearing from you.
