 Just four miles away is the delightful market town of Appleby in Westmorland, famous for its traditional horse fair held annually in June. Beyond Appleby is Kirkby Stephen and the high Yorkshire Dales. The historic City of Carlisle with its Cathedral, Castle and shopping centre is about half an hour's drive away, and Hadrian's Wall Country is closeby. Appleby is a good place to join the Settle and Carlisle Railway for the picturesque journey to Settle and back.

We offer three self-contained, holiday cottages newly created within a converted barn which have all been furbished to a very high standard, rated visit Britain 4****. The cottages are all no smoking and are maintained by the owners who live in the attached farmhouse.

The cottages are based on our family run working poultry farm within the Lake District National Park, up a private lane set in 200 acres of land, all having outstanding views of the surrounding hills and open countryside and our own beautiful Tarn with 12 man birdwatching hide on their doorstep.
