Take a voyage north
to the breathtaking, rugged scenery of Sutherland in the far north-west
of Scotland. It was the Vikings who gave the county of Sutherland its
name & true to their Norse ancestry, the original settlers loved to pass
on stories, and there is hardly a hill, loch or bay in the area which
does not boast its own ghost or legend. Although we have not so far met
any of these spectral residents, we have witnessed the breathtaking
Northern Lights, and joined in when locals stopped work to watch whales

Tigh Lios (Gaelic
meaning “House with the garden”) is a large 4 bedroom traditional
Highland home right on the Main Street in the middle of Lochinver. We
are open for B&B and for self-catering purposes.
It is minutes
walk from all the amenities: restaurants, shops, play park, Village
Hall, petrol station, pubs, pier, tourist office, leisure and Health
centre
All our rooms
are decorated to a high standard with satellite TV and tea/coffee
making facilities in each room. We have a fabulous guest lounge with
views to the sea and the large dining room sits 12 people. There is
a superb kitchen with all modern conveniences and on the ground
floor there is a large utility room with washing machine and tumble
drier. There is ample car parking space to the rear of the house and
the back garden is a sun trap where guests can lounge with a BBQ and
glass of wine
We have now added a fifth bedroom which is in an annexe to the back
of the house. It allows dogs and is a twin room with tea / coffee
making facilities and satellite TV in it
