Beautifully Restored 1 Bedroom Air Conditioned Bungalow

THE PALMS

This complex is a mixture of semi detached white washed bungalows and terracotta tiled terraces and some apartments.  It is fairly quiet, private and very secure with 24 hour reception and security.  It has five swimming pools in total, which are all surrounded by sub tropical landscaping. 

The bungalow has three terraces, a small one to the front leading from the bedroom, large terrace with table and chairs to seat six at the rear, leading from the lounge, and a private roof terrace.  Behind the rear terrace is the pool area and a café/restaurant.  There is some low key entertainment on certain days of the week in here. 

Internally and externally the bungalow has been completely refurbished and has marble floors throughout and clean painted walls.   At the front there is a private parking space. 

KITCHEN

The Kitchen is modern with integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven and has  a Black granite worktop and breakfast bar leading to the lounge area. 

LOUNGE AREA

The lounge furniture is new washed pine with cotton cushioned seats and scatter cushions and coffee tables.  Sky television is installed and a DVD player.  There are three large windows with voile curtains and sun blocks.  There is an internal door leading to secure area for drying clothes.  Ceiling fan

BEDROOM

 The bungalow has one bedroom with twin beds and two pull out single beds.   Ceiling fan and air-con unit.  Two double wardrobes and adequate drawers.  Patio door onto front terrace

BATHROOM

The bathroom is marble and has twin sinks, hairdryer, and a round Jacuzzi bath with shower over, bidet and toilet.  There is a separate toilet off the entrance hall.

LINEN AND TOWELS

We provide a clean set of white fluffy towels and fresh white linen on the beds, which is changed weekly.  Any additional changes would be at an extra cost of £6 per person. The bungalow will also be cleaned prior to your visit, but again any extra maid service would be charged separately @ £15 a day.  This can either be booked locally or in advance. 

LOCAL AMENITIES

There are some nice bars, cafes and restaurants situated near The Palms or you could either walk or get a cab for around €4 round to San Blas.  This is the main square where there are a cluster of restaurants and shops. It would take about 20-30 minutes to walk from the complex.

We can recommend Gulliver’s Restaurant, it is English type cuisine, but very well presented and not expensive.

BOWLING

Winter Gardens Complex - including 8 lanes for bowling (not ten pin) costing 6 Euro/hour +1 Euro shoe hire. You can book in for sessions when club bowlers are not playing. Club days seem to be Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings. Drinks can be ordered, whilst bowling, from the poolside bar. Also have theme evenings most nights such as BBQs, Mexican Night etc

 WALKING

There are many attractive walks in the area.  Highly recommended is the 15 minute (day time walk) over the rocky path to a genuine Spanish fishing village called Los Abrigos (there are some steps to the village from the path).  Los Abrigos is a very nice fishing village, where there is a great selection of harbour side restaurants and tapas bars overlooking the rocky bay, where you can eat with a wonderful sea view.   If it’s too dark to walk back, a taxi will cost around 6 euros

MARINA

A new marina is approximately 10 minutes walk.  It is currently under construction and due for completion soon.

SHOPPING/SUPERMARKETS

The San Blas Centre is the main shopping and eating area.  Although all new, it has been well designed with as a 'village square' and traditional style buildings.   There are several supermarkets within 500 yards of The Palms and of course further shopping at Los Christianos and the markets on Sundays’ or Playa de las Americas.

BUS SERVICES

Public busses run hourly (Number 470) to Playa De Las Americas/ Los Cristianos.  It only costs 2 euros for a single ticket.  But be relaxed about how long the bus can take to get there - there are many stops along the way and it can take up to an hour.  The last bus back Golf Del Sur leaves the larger resorts not much later than 8p.m.  If you miss it or stay out late, you should budget for around 15-euro for a taxi.  The Sunday evening bus back from the big resorts can often be full.  This is due to the popularity of Los Christianos market.
