You
are assured of a friendly welcome at our comfortable, modern guesthouse,
one of the few B&Bs actually in Sevenoaks. Located conveniently between
the North Downs Way and the Greensand Way, and close to the start of the
Darenth Valley Path, walkers find this an ideal place to stay. And
golfers, too, will feel at ease here, with the clubs of Knole Park,
Nizels, Wildernesse, Westerham, and Poult Wood all within a short drive.
What we offer is the best of all worlds, a quiet secluded location, yet
within easy walking distance of Sevenoaks town centre and just a few
minutes’ drive from Junction 5 of the M25 motorway. And Sevenoaks is a
mere 35 minutes by frequent train to central London.
Down a short driveway behind our home, this accommodation provides
off-street parking and stands in its own private garden where, on warm
sunny days, our visitors can relax. Three of our four bedrooms are on
the ground floor, giving easy access for disabled guests. Numerous
restaurants and pubs serving good food can be found nearby or,
alternatively, for evening meals guests may make use of the fully fitted
kitchen.
For
large families or groups of friends, we can also offer the entire
property on a self-catering basis, although this generally has to be
booked well in advance. We aim to provide an uncluttered and relaxed
environment where our guests can enjoy a peaceful stay.
Local attractions include Knole House, with its vast deer park,
Chartwell, the home of Sir Winston Churchill, Ightham Mote and Quebec
House, where General Wolfe lived. Hever Castle, Penshurst Place and
Sissinghurst Castle with its famous gardens are also nearby. Sevenoaks
itself has a living, thriving, vibrant community, with a wonderful
variety of restaurants, a large leisure centre and a theatre/cinema
complex. The town is home to The Vine cricket ground, one of the oldest
in England, and has a wide variety of historic properties including St
Nicholas’ Church, dating from the 13th century, within a short distance
from the centre. |

the North Downs on the Pilgrims Way at Thurnham near Maidstone in Kent
is a homely and welcoming Inn adorned with hops and beams with an open
log fireplace to welcome you in winter.
The
actual age of the Inn is not known, but in the 18th century it may well
have been a forge with adjoining barns and stables owned by the Fuller
family. Between 1744 and 1751 the buildings were converted to an inn and
given the present name
The Inn
has a large car park. There is a network of footpaths and bridle paths
in the area used for cyclists, walkers and horse riders with magnificent
