break from their busy lifestyle. Our three star school house overlooks
the majestic Knocklayde Mountain, situated 4 miles from Ballycastle
amongst some of Northern Ireland's most spectacular scenery. It's a
walker's paradise. The schoolhouse was built in 1843 and provides
comfortable and spacious accommodation for 4 people offering one double
and one twin bedroom. It has been completely refurbished for modern day
living. Facilities include washing machine, dishwasher, microwave &
fridge.freezer. It has a large spacious garden with patio, BBQ and also
private car parking facilities.
It is an ideal base
for touring the Nine Glens and the North Antrim Coast which has some
of the most
spectacular scenery in the whole of Ireland. It is close to populaqr
land marks such as Carrick - a rede rope bridge, the Giants Causeway,
Bushmills Distillery & Dunluce Castle. On your return journey you can
stop and discover, dotted around the coast, small sheltered harbours and
slipways, fishermen's cottages and rock formations that you will never
forget.
With a fantastic
18 hole golf course within 4 miles of thje schoolhouse, and local grass
and hard tennis courts in Ballycastle town, you will never have the
problem of finding things to do. For the younger generation there is a
fun pool and play park. The beach and Pan's Rock can be explored and
enjoyed.As well as local walks you can enjoy walking part or all of the
Moyle/Ulster Way, take a hike in Breen or Ballypatrick Forests and visit
the Vasishing Lake... if its there |
