Situated a few miles
from the outstanding North Northumberland coast The Pack Horse Inn is a
traditional village pub. We pride ourselves on serving home cooked food
with well kept beer and fine wines. We have 5 en-suite bedrooms which
were all refurbished in February 2013. There is a cosy bar with a log
fire for chilly nights and a sunny beer garden in which to sit with a
glass of wine in the evenings and appreciate the view. There’s also a
pool table in the room adjoining the bar. We have free Wi-Fi if you
can’t bear to be parted from the outside world and are within easy

Unique Self Catering

This 12th
century stronghold, just twenty minutes from the seaside and the
home of Sir Humphry Wakefield and his family, became 'base-camp' for
the 1298 conquering attack on William Wallace by “Hammer of the
Scots”, King Edward 1st. Wallace had raided the previous year,
burning the women and children to death in the local abbey. The
Castle was given permission to add battlements by King Edward III in
1344 (See the actual License in the Castle). The Elizabethans added
'Long Galleries' and Capability Brown designed the park in 1752.
The glorious Italian garden was laid out in the 19th century by Sir
Jeffrey Wyatville, fresh from his royal triumphs at Windsor Castle.

The Castle is
now open to the public and also available for weddings, private
functions, tours and has self catering apartments. It is ideally

April Cottage is in the heart of the
historic village of Corbridge, approximately three miles from Hadrian’s
Wall Trail. The cottage sleeps five, in two large bedrooms. Linen and

from Bellingham village at the end of a single track lane on the banks
of the North Tyne, a quiet peaceful location for relaxing after a hard
days walk.
Bellingham is
centrally located for visiting Hadrians wall, Kielder forest and the
Cheviot Hills where you can walk all day with only the sheep for
company. There are plenty of walks from the cottages and the Penine Way
passes through Bellingham.
At the end of the
day you can relax by the river with a glass (or two) of wine.
