and is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the North
Wessex Downs
The
Swan is owned by local organic beef farmers Mary and Bernard Harris. The
menus for the hotel restaurant and bar food feature organic produce as
well as beef from the farm.
Our famous home cured bacon, gammons and range of sausages are on sale
in the farm shop attached to the Swan Inn
Situated in the heart of England, near Newbury and Hungerford, the Inn
is ideal as a base to visit many places of great interest including
Stonehenge, Donnington Castle and the Kennet & Avon Canal. The historic
Wayfarers Way starts nearby. Walbury Iron Age Hill Fort, next to Combe
Gibbet, is the highest point in Southern England at 974ft and is within
a mile of the Swan Inn. The Inkpen recreational walk takes you past this
landmark. It is also the ideal place to stay if you are going to Newbury
race course or visiting Lambourn stables

traditional friendly 17th Century Country Inn, providing accommodation,

The Inn has
a cosy wood panelled bar area which boasts a huge inglenook fireplace.

seasonal produce examples include natural smoked haddock topped with
welsh rarebit, homemade pies , locally sourced sausages with onion gravy
