Little Birch Cabin
is located in Insh, a peaceful hamlet four miles from Kingussie, eleven
miles from Aviemore. We are easy to reach by road or rail.
The Cabin is
perfectly situated whether you want a peaceful retreat or an
exhilerating adventure. Walk from the Cabin or take a short car trip
into some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland
The cabin is within
3 miles is the village of Kincraig on the shores of Loch Insh and there
are many beautiful walks to suit all fitness levels.
If Munros are your
challenge then you can't go wrong. You can walk from the Cabin to the
summit of Carn Ban Mor.
There are local maps and
walk guides in the cabin and we are happy to share ideas as you plan
Are you up for the Corrieyairack Challenge? Walk and Cycle from Fort
Augustus to Kincraig. Celebrate at the Fete and Ceilidh then collapse
back at the Cabin.
For golfers there
are scenic golf courses within an easy drive at Kingussie, Newtonmore,
Carrbridge and Grantown-on-Spey
There are direct
trains to Kingussie from London. The Caledonian Sleeper train stops at
Kingussie. Board in London and wake up refreshed and ready for your
holiday.
We can collect you from
the station. Local car hire is available if needed
The Cabin has two bedrooms and sleeps up to four
people. The accommodation is freshly decorated, clean and comfortable.
Outside the Cabin is a private area of birch
woodland with seating, bird feeding station and a pathway directly onto
the Badenoch Way. |

The Old Log Shed is a 3star graded timber chalet with accommodation for
2 persons. The ensuite bedroom can be set as king size bed or twin beds.
A large well equipped living dining room with patio window opens on a
south facing peacefull garden with a backdrop of natural forest
stretching into Glenfeshie and the Cairngorms mountains. Watch deer,
pheasants and other wildlife pass by the window in the comfort of your
own home!
It is situated in the Spey Valley in the heart of the Cairngorms
National Park in the Scottish Highlands and only a short distance from
Kingussie and Aviemore. The Insh Marshes, a popular spot for
birdwatching, is accessible from Insh village and Loch Insh, with all
watersport facilities, is 3 miles. There are excellent links by train
from Kingussie and air from Inverness to the south. The overnight
sleeper also stops here. We are only 2.5 hrs drive from Edinburgh nd
Glasgow and 10 miles from Aviemore where there is access to the
Cairngorm mountains and Loch Morlich, bird watching and golf can all be
enjoyed within a 20 miles distance of Insh. Insh is an ideal centre for
touring as the west coast, the Black Isle, Braemar and the central belt
are all accessible for a day trip away. |

B9152.

approximately 1 acre. There are gates that can be closed to
secure the property for young children. There is a lovely open
outlook onto the Inch Marshes and to the mountains beyond.

lanes leading from the property to a farm and to the estate
