Come and stay at Mamor
Cottage on the South West edge of the Peak District on the Staffordshire
/ Derbyshire borders.
The accommodation is
a converted granery dating back to the 17th century, lovingly restored
as a self catering holiday cottage in 2007 by the present owners. The
cottage sleeps 4 plus the option of a travel cot or junior bed.
Everything is supplied to make your stay a pleasant one with the
exception of food, but a welcome basket and milk in the fridge is always
ready for your arrival.
The cottage is the
only one on our Shetland Pony Stud Farm and is situated 1000 feet up on
a beautiful hillside with fantastic views across several counties. We
are surrounded by beautiful and interesting walks, golf courses and
fishing facilities. Cycle hire is available in the nearby village of
Waterhouses. Leek town is 7 miles away, well known as a wonderful centre
of excellence for antique shopping. 1 mile away is the Churnet Valley
Steam railway and 5 miles away Alton Towers Theme Park, but to name a
few of the tourist attractions in the area.
If you are looking for
a peaceful holiday away from it all, this is it.
We take well behaved
dogs at a small extra cost and supply dog beds, dishes and towels for
your pet, dog sitting is available at times at no extra cost.
